Painful laser procedure, significant eye pressure and infection following. After calling this office to report the symptoms, Dr Fein said through a tech that she can’t address infection and refused to even see the eyes; she then told us to find an ophthalmologist despite pain, swelling and blurred vision, on a Friday afternoon. After calling around we were SO lucky Dr. David Chow could see my husband and waited after hours to help. After examining him and sharing strong concern, Dr Chow called this office and urged that we be seen right away for follow up, and told us to “show up” at 9am on Sat since no one would make us an appointment. We did and after two hours, we were seen by the resident who did the procedure. He suggested my husband “might” have conjunctivitis. He also agreed he had dangerously high pressure but only suggested drops. No explanation from anyone why Dr Fein refused to see a patient in distress following a procedure, no idea if it really is conjunctivitis, no explanation or advice as to what to do if this isn’t conjunctivitis, no follow up from any of the attendings or management, no idea why the pressure is so high. No nothing but some drops and the door.
Absolutely horrible care. Why risk your eyes with a team that ignored a patient, refused to provide after care and offered very very poor patient support ?
I have been going here for 5 years because I really like Dr Fein, but I cannot keep waiting for 2-3 hours to see her for 5 minutes and will be looking for a new provider. I have also twice been seen by fellows without the direct supervision of the physician and left with completely inadequate information, and worse, a laser procedure by a fellow that left me with poorer vision. I would not recommend this place to my friends.
Great docs; horrific appointment system. Nearly two hours past my appointment time I was seen by a doc for a total of 10 minutes. A simple follow up test was another 30 minute wait. Need to come back in six months? Sorry, their appointment system doesn't go out that far. I can appreciate that doctors get busy and emergencies arise. I'm busy too. So if I need to plan a half day with dilatated eyes to enjoy uncomfortable chairs in dim lights and the animal channel on TV while waiting to see a doc, just tell me up front.
Had an initial / screening appointment with RGW and Dr. Berinstein at the Fairfax office. Was very impressed with the practice. Very well organized. They get you through the appointment in a timely fashion. The office does it's very best to ensure a safe environment (from a COVID perspective). Everyone in the office was professional and pleasant. Dr. Berinstein was terrific.
The staff were super friendly and they accommodated my tight schedule as I flew from overseas and was in DMV area for a few days to get a PDT treatment. I felt safe and taken care of in hands of Dr. Bryant and Fein. I had a great experience and highly recommend it.
I was seen immediately for an eye emergency (was a current patient of the practice). Front staff and physician assistant were competent and supportive. Saw Dr. Minarcik for the first time and was very happy with his care. He was thorough, patient and kind. He explained his findings clearly and has an excellent communication style. Have seen two other doctors here - everyone in this practice is terrific.
Also would note that the new office is beautiful and spacious, easily allowing for social distancing. Covid precautions followed. I felt very safe in this office.
I would give the doctor and the staff my husband sees at the Fairfax location 5 stars if we did not have to wait two or more hours for about 20 minutes of actual person to person interaction every appointment. The scheduling really needs to be better organized
I just spoke w- Keisha to make my appointment w- Dr. Brian Do. She was professional, kind, personable and knowledgeable about all the Dr's and offices. Every Dr's office should have a 1st Impression like Keisha answering their phones and taking care of their patients. This office already has my 5-STAR rating and I'm confident I'll be back online to provide even more positive reviews for the Fairfax office and Dr. Do (referred by my PCP, Dr. Jean Beaton, Internist). Thank you, Keisha!
